Ediz graduated from the School for Oral and Dental Sciences at the University of Bristol. Upon graduation, he spent a year in a general dental practice in Bristol before undertaking further training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine, Paediatric Dentistry, and Restorative Dentistry. His further training took place in various specialist units in hospitals in the South West, including Bristol Dental Hospital. During his hospital training, Ediz also worked in a private dental practice in Cheltenham providing aesthetic dentistry. In 2007 he completed his Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Ediz is hugely enthusiastic about his own professional development and has been taught by dental experts from across Europe and America. He has completed two further postgraduate degrees; a Diploma in Dental Conscious Sedation at King’s College London and a four year training programme in Dental Implantology at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute at University College London.
Ediz is a part time Clinical Teaching Fellow at Bristol Dental Hospital and South Bristol Community Hospital. He teaches undergraduates in the Oral Surgery Department and postgraduates undertaking their Certificate in Clinical Conscious Sedation and Anxiety Management. He is also a supervisor on the Bristol University Open Learning for Dentists (BUOLD) course.
Ediz has been one of the principal dentists at Clifton Down Dental Practice since 2012.
He has been accepting referrals for implant treatment, oral surgery and sedation procedures for several years. He uses all major implant systems and is a member of the International Team of Implantology (ITI), as well as the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI).
