We have been delighted to be able to begin to treat patients this week. In keeping with the guidance from the Chief Dental Officer and other professional bodies, we are currently treating patients who have dental problems, such as pain or infections, that cannot be dealt with by other means.
This is the first step of what is being described as a ‘phased transition’ to providing a wider range of services over time.
Our guidance is being constantly reviewed, as is the general threat level of the pandemic (we are currently at threat level 4), and with so many variables we are currently only booking and confirming appointment times for one week at a time.
Availability of future appointments is dependent on PPE, staff availability, and guidance, but we do hope to be extending our services over the next few weeks, whilst still conforming to Social Distancing, and all other professional guidelines.
If you are due to have a routine or non-urgent appointment, we will be contacting you as appointment slots are made available, and it is deemed appropriate to carry out the treatment you require. We will be rearranging your appointments that have been booked in June and early July so please do not attend unless your appointment has been confirmed by our reception team over the phone.
If you have an emergency please do call the practice. Your dentist will be able to give you advice and offer an appointment if needed to resolve your dental problem.
Once an appointment is arranged, you will receive an email confirmation, as well as a copy of the patient journey policy which we recommend reading before arrival.
We thank you for all your support through these difficult times and we can’t wait to see you all.

The Practice was first set up on its original site of 139a Whiteladies Road in 1985 by Graham Hooper. Annie Whitby joined the Practice in 1994 and became a partner with Graham in 2000 when the Practice relocated to 72 Alma Road. Ediz Cakin joined the team in 2008, then became a partner with Annie Whitby following Graham Hooper's retirement.
We pride ourselves in delivering high quality, long lasting dental care for all the family at affordable prices.
The dentists all regularly undertake postgraduate work to keep up to date with the latest techniques.
